Make space for strategy

Community expectations are rising and people are changing their relationship with local government. Shifts in culture, social justice, and expectation for service requires the public sector to be more strategic to meet increased expectations. This requires strategy, not only in outlining specific programs and policies, but also in governing as a whole.

Zach Ratkai is the Administrative and Community Services Director for the City of Pasco, Washington where he facilitates a variety of divisions from Parks to IT to Indigent Defense. He is also a facilitator and strategic planning consultant with his own firm, Sageland Strategic. Zach holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver.
